ORDINANCE NO, 1982-105
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1982 -EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE:
Be it enacted by the city council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is
to provide adequate safety from fire by requiring compliance with
the Uniform Fire Code.
SECTION 2. Adoption of Fire Code. The 1982 edition of
the Uniform Fire Code is hereby adopted.
SECTION 3. Penalty. Anyone violating the provisions of
the Uniform Fire Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and,
upon conviction, be subject to imprisonment, not exceeding thirty
(30) days or a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100 .00) .
SECTION 4. Repealer.- All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 5. Saving Clause. If any section, provision, or
part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or uncon-
stitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
of the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 6 . When Effective. This ordinance shall be in
effect after its final passage, approval, and publication as
provided by law.
The ' foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING
THE 1982 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE was published on the
20th day of July , 1982 by posting copies thereof in
three public places within the limits, two of which places are
the mayor's office and the post off' ce.

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. Councilman
Rolret , then moved that the rule or law requiring
these readings of this Ordinance on three different dates be
dispensed with. On roll call Councilman Cox, Brown, Spivey,
Rohret, Stevens voted. "Aye. "
voted "Nay. "
The mayor then declared this Ordinance duly passed and
adopted on this 19th day of July , 1982.
