A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR
BICENTENNIAL PARK EMERGENCY ACCESS ROUTE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published in the manner and form prescribed and as required by
State Statute, bids and proposals were received by the Clerk and reported to this Council for the
proposed Bicentennial Park Emergency Access Route project (the "Project") for the City as described in
the public notice of hearing; and,
WHEREAS, Ethics Contracting was awarded the contract for the Project under Resolution 2022-48,
approved July 26, 2022, in the amount of $133,328; and,
WHEREAS, it as been determined necessary and prudent to make the following changes as described in
Change Order #3 provided by MSA Professional Services:
Original award: $133,238.00
Adjustments per Change Order #1 (previously approved): + $ 3,221.30
Revised total: $136,459.30
Adjustments per Change Order #2 (previously approved) + $ 13,652.50
Revised total: $150,111.80
Adjustments per Change Order #3:
Sawcut breakout line $ 4.00
Topsoil excavation to be removed $ 180.00
Pavement with integral curb $ 520.00
Curb runout $ 125.00
PVC coated chain, special $ 102.00
Crushed stone base material $4,356.00
Trench backfill $1,708.50
Water service line $ 704.00
Reused topsoil $ 468.00
Soil stabilization $1,264.00
$9,431.50 - $ 9,431.50
New amount of contract with change: $140,680.30
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is 301-210-6499, Capital Improvement - Contract Services.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1: Change Order #3 is approved.
Section 2: The Mayor is authorized and directed to sign Change Order #3.
Passed and approved this 22'd day of November 2022.
