RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND PLEDGING SUPPORT
FOR RILEY KRAMER'S BSA EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council at its November 8th council meeting requested a resolution endorsing and
pledging support for Riley Kramer's BSA Eagle Scout project; and,
WHEREAS, Riley Kramer has proposed to create a trail through a wooded portion of the City of Riverdale
that will connect the Pleasant Hills Addition to the Woods Estates Addition ("project"); and,
WHEREAS, Riley Kramer has requested financial support from the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City realizes that this project benefits the community and joins two previously unconnected
City neighborhoods; and,
WHEREAS, the City will allow Riley Kramer to alter the City's property at the location of the proposed trail;
and,
WHEREAS, the City will provide monetary support not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000.00); and,
WHEREAS, the City would like to see this project completed by late spring 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the City will provide planning and any expertise as requested by Riley Kramer; and,
WHEREAS, Riley Kramer will serve as Project Manager, fundraiser, and point of contact for all questions
and recruitment of volunteers; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this project is 001-510-6490, Community Beautification.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1:
The City hereby endorses and pledges it support for Riley Kramer's BSA Eagle Scout project
to create a trail on the City's property that connects the Pleasant Hills Addition and the
Woods Estates Addition.
