AN ORDINANCE OF"THE INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNWOOD
ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1 OF SAID CITY,
FIXING THE. RATES OF TAXES.,.AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR. BEGINNING JULY 1, 1956 AND END-
ING JUNE 30, 1957•
The .City Council of the City of Lynwood, Ca ifornia, does
ordain a follows, to wit:
Sectidn l: .Tax District No. 1. That for the purposes of
tax8tion, all of that territory and. 1and.s lying a.nd. being in the
corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, Caaifornia prior to Febru-
a.ry 1, 1956 be known .as and. constitute Tax District No. 1 of said
city.
Section. 2: That the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upoh the taxable property within the corporaae limits of
the City of Lynwood; County of Los Angele"s, Staae.of California, in
Tax District No. 1 of said- city, to proyid:e for carrying on the
various functions of municipaa government in said. city for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1956 and. ending June 30, 1957, is hereby fixed.

Section 4: That in a.d.dition to the amount of money neces-
sary to be raised as aforesaid., the .amount of money necessary to be
raised. by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
limits of said city and in Tax District No. 1 of said city to provide
for a fund. for ma ntenance and. improvement of public parks for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1956 and. ending June 30, 1957 on
unsecured. real and personal property valuations at last yearYS rates
is hereby fixed at the sum of Six Hundred Seventy-two and 44/100ths
Dollars 672.44).
Section 5: That for the purpose of raising the-sums of
money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
within the city limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to
-carry on the function of the various departments of said city; to
'provid.e payment to State EmployeesaP! Retirement Fund. a authorized: in
Ordinance.No..426, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed- and taxes are
hereby levied on all taxable property within the city limits of said
city, included in Tax District Number 1 for the fiscal year beginning

Section 6: Pursuant to the provisions of Ord.inance.No. 608,
adopted by the pity Gouneil of said city on the 16th dray of February,
1954, the City Council does further ordain that the City Treasurer has
filed: with it a report that there is in the."Swimming Pool Bonds, 1954,
Interest and Redemption Fund" o£ the treasury of said city, a sum
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls due' and. such
part of the principal a will become due for the fiscal year beginning

Section 7: This ordinance shall take effect immed.ia.tely
