ORDINANCE NO. /5/46
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER
19 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC), BY ADDITION OF NO PARKING AREAS ON
WEST MAIN STREET ADJACENT TO WARE AVENUE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 19-401 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Schedule J (Parking
Prohibited), Subparagraph (a), of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby
amended by the modification of:
West Main Street: east of the east curb of Ware Avenue to a point 20 feet west of the first driveway
east of Ware Avenue (approx. 38 feet).
West Main Street: west of the west curb of Ware Avenue to a point 20 feet east of the first driveway
west of Ware Avenue (approx. 38 feet).
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage
and approval.

Approach sight distance is the min. distance an approaching W. Main St. driver would need to see a vehicle leaving Ware Ave., so they could stop safely before a collision occurs.
Departing sight distance is the min distance a Ware Ave. driver would need to see, so they could safely maneuver into the main road without any traffic lhaving to to make adjustments
