ORDINANCE N0. 625
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING,kWESTERLY OF THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL. '
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited.
Territory Act of lg3g," as amended, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood did by Resolution No. 2585 adopted on the 1st day of February,
1955, initiate proceedings for annexation by said City of certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County
of Los Angeles lying westerly of the Los Angeles County Flood Control
Channel.and. hereinafter particularly described, and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution published in the Lynwood. Press,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City
of Lynwood, and also in the Herald American, a newspaper of general
circulation published outside of the City of Lynwood but in the County
in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed, the City
Council of .the City of Lynwood duly gave notice of and fixed the
15th day d,f March, 1855 at 8:0o p.m. in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour
and place when and where any person owning real property in such
territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the
proposed annexation might appear before said City Council and show cause
why such territory should not be so annexed; and.
WHEREAS, no protests have been filed.; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been in conformity with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
ordain as follows:
Section 1: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1839" as amended, the annexation of that certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, designated as "Wright Road

Annexation No. 8" as hereinafter more particularly described, hereby
is approved.

Said. territory lying westerly of the Los Angeles County
Flood ,Control Channel in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
within the following described lines:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot
5 of Slausson Tract as shown on map recorded in Book
3, page 348, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, distant thereon 593.58 feet
easterly of the easterly line of Wright Road, 33 feet
wide a.s shown on map filed in Book 43, page 44 of Record.
of Surveys in the office of the Recorder of said County,
said point being on the boundary line of the City of
Lynwood as said. boundary line existed January 7, 1955>
x thence easterly along said boundary line and. following
the same in all its various courses to its intersection
with a, line bearing South 67°3736" East and having a
length of 532.19 feet as shown on said last mentioned
map; thence South 67°3736" East 17.26 feet; thence
South 17°41~ West 146.04 feet; thence South 72°19-
East 145.62-feet; thence South 17°04~'-17" West 139.37
feet; thence South 13°2gt2g" West to-the point of
beginning. -
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed.
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause 'the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, printed and published and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 15th day of March, 1955, and finally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
5th day of April, 1955, by the following vote:
