AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES LYING EASTERLY OF i,~TRIGHT ROAD AND
SOUTHERLY OF CORTLAND AVENUE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tort' Act of 193 g," as amended, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
did by Resolution No, 2573 adopted on the 16th day of November, 1954,
initiate proceedings for annexation by said City of certain uninhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County of Los
Angeles lying easterly of Wright Road and Southerly of Cortland Avenue
and hereinafter particularly described, and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution published in the Lynwood Press,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City
of Lynwood, and also in the Herald American, a newspaper of general
circulation published outside of the City of Lynwood. but in the County
in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed, the City
Council of the City of Lynwood duly gave notice of and fixed the 21st
day of December, 1954, at 8:00 p,m, in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour,
and place when and where any person owning real property in such terri-
tort' so proposed to beyannexed and having any objection to the proposed
annexation might appear before said City Council and show cause why
such territory should not be so annexed; and
WHEREAS, no protests have been filed; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been in conformity with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
ordain as follows:
Section l: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939" as amended, the annexation of that certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, designated as "Wright Road
Annexation No. 7" as hereinafter more particularly described, hereby

is approved.
Said territory lying easterly of Wright Road and southerly
of Cortland Avenue in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
within the following described lines:
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a, newspaper of general circul'a-
tion, printed. and published and circulated in the City of Lynwood,
City held on the 21st day of December, 1g54, and finally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 5
of Slausson Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 3,
Page 348 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
distant thereon 180.05 feet easterly from the center
line of Wright Road, 33 feet wide, as shown on map
filed in Book 43 page 44 of Record of Surveys in the
office of the Recorder of said County, said point of
beginning being an angle point in the boundary line of
the City of Lynwood as said boundary existed October 20,
1954; thence South 70° 57~ 20" East along said boundary
line 255.03 feet; thence North 17° 41~~ 00" East 661.06
feet to that certain line shown"on said Record of Surveys
map as having a hearing and length of South 67° 37r~ 36"
East 532,19 feet; thence North 67° 37Y 36" West 222.74
feet, more or less, to an angle point on the aforementioned
boundary line of the City of Lynwood; thence southerly
along said boundary line to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
4th day of January, 1955, by the following vote:
