AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES LYING SOUTHERLY OF CENTURY BOULE-
VARD AND EASTERLY OF WRIGHT ROAD,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939', as amended, a petition was filed and duly presented
to the City Council of the City of Lynwood on August 17, 1954, re-
questing the annexation by the City of Lynwood of certain uninhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County of Los
Angeles lying southerly of Century Boulevard and easterly of Wright
Road, and hereinafter particularly described; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2561 adopted by the City Council
of the City of Lynwood on the 17th day of August, 1954, and published
" in the Lynwood. Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed. and.
published in the City of Lynwood, and also in the Herald American, a
newspaper of general circulation published outside of the City of
Lynwood but in the county in which is located the territory proposed
to be annexed, the City Council of the City of Lynwood duly gave
notice of and fixed the 21st of September, 1954, at 8:00 p.m, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, Calif-
ornia, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person owning
real property in such territory so proposed to be annexed and having
any objection to the proposed annexation might appear before said City
Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; and
WHEREAS, no protests have been filed; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been in conformity with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
ordain as follows:
Section 1: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Aet of 1939" as amended, the annexation of that certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, designated as "iafiight Road Annex
No. 6" as hereinafter more particularly described, hereby is .approved.
Said territory lying southerly of Century Boulevard and.
easterly of Wright Road in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, within the following described lines:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Wright
Road. 33 feet wide as shown on map filed in Book 43,
page 44 of Record of Surveys in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, distant
southerly thereon 304.88 feet from the southerly
line of Century Boulevard (formerly Morton Road)
55 feet wide as shown on said map; thence easterly
parallel with the northerly line of Lot 2 of '
Slausson Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 3,
page 348 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of
said recorder, 750 feet more or less to the boundary
of the City of Lynwood as same existed on July 23,
1854; thence southerly along said boundary .538.23
feet more or less to the southerly line of said Lot
2; thence along said last mentioned southerly line
North 71°25'40" West to a point distant easterly
thereon 378.71 feet from the easterly line of said
Wright Road; thence South 22°22'24" West 177.85 feet
to that certain line shown on said Record of Surveys
map as having a bearing and length of South 67°37'36"
East 532.18 feet; thence along said certain line
North 67°37'36" West to -the boundary of said city;
thence westerly and northerly along said boundary to
the point of beginning.
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published and circulated in the City of
Lynwood.

said City held on the 21st day of September, 1954, and finally adopted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held. on the
5th day of October, 1954, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN- Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson,
Pender, Willard.
NOES: COUNCILMEN
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN
