ORDINANCE N0. 612
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DESIGNATING
THE PLACE OF AND ESTABLISHING A CITY JAIL.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section l: That those certain premises in the City Hall
of the City of Lynwood located at 11330 Bullis Road, which said
premises have since on or about the 14th day of December, 1953 been
used and occupied as a City Jail in and for said City, and which
said premises so hereinbefore used as such City Jail are more par-
ticularly described as follows: All that portion of the ground
floor of the Police Station wing of the City Hall Building, 43 feet
east of the west wall at the main entrance of said wing, being an
area of 41 feet north and south, and 63 feet and 7 inches east and.
west, together with the cell blocks, appurtenances, and fixtures
therein contained, shall be and the same is hereby designated and
established as the City Jail of the City of Lynwood, California,
Section 2: That all designations, previous references to,
and prior use of said portions of said. City Hall hereinabove des-
cribed as the City Jail of the City of Lynwood be, and the same are
hereby approved, ratified., and confirmed.
Section 3: That the City Clerk of said City shall certify
to the passage of this ordinance a.nd cause the same to be published
once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in said City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 7th day of September, 1954, and finally adopted. and
. ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held. on the
21st day of September, 1954 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Bruner, McMeekin, Pearson, Pender, and
