AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE DUI TASKFORCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Taskforce Program has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to pay overtime for D.U.I. enforcement; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute DUI Taskforce Program to pay overtime for
D.U.I. enforcement.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($26,880.00) Dollars.
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to pay overtime for D.U.I. enforcement.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of November, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
