AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AI~fENDING
ORDINANCE N0. 493 OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD BY
REGULATING THE PARKING OF BUSES UPON THE PUBLIC
STREETS,
The City Council of the-City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Article I is hereby amended to add a new
section, designated Section 17, to read as follows:
"Section 17. "Bus.." A bus is any heavy duty tyAe motor
vehicle designed to carry more than eight passengers."
Section 2: Section 122 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Subsection (a). Limiting the time for the parking of
buses, No person shall park, leave, or permit to remain in or upon
any street or alley a bus for a longer time than necessary to load
and discharge passengers and in no event longer than five minutes,
except that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to determine and
to mark "Lay Over" points at any place in the City of Lynwood orhere,
in the opinion of the Ghief of Police, said lay over points are
necessary or proper, where persons authorized to transport passengers
by bus for hire in said City over fixed routes shall be permitted
to park or leave not more than one bus at a time for a period not to
exceed twenty minutes.
"Subsection (b) Use of Streets for Storage of Vehicles
Prohibited. In the event a vehicle is parked or left standing upon
a street or alley in excess of a consecutive period of 120 hours, any
member of the Police Department may remove said vehicle from the street
or alley in the manner and subject to the requirements of Sections 585
and 585.,1 of the Vehicle Code.."
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause same to be published once in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation printed and circu-
lated in the City of Lynwood

said City held on the 17th day of November, 1953> and finally adopted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on
the 1st day of December, 1953 by the following vote:
