The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as follows;
Section 1: Section 3 of Ordinance No. $11 of the City of Lynwood is
hereby amended to read as follows:
°Section 3: CONNECTION CHARGES: No water service connection shall be made
until the owner or his duly authorized agent shall make application for such connection
upon a form provided by the Water Department. Application for water service shall
be accompanied by a service connection charge in the amount specified in this section.

Meters and services larger than 2s in size and services enlarged shall be
paid for by the consumer a.t cost plus ten percent for overhead. Cost, as estimated
by the Water Department, must be deposited in advance, with final adjustsent of
charges to be made upon completion of installation and prior to tur~on of water.
In those instances where water service is being first established in
connection with new construction, a,nd meters a.re not immediately installed, the cotes
structor shall pay in advance the flat rate charge prescribed in this ordinance, for
a period of two months, which shall be the total expense of water charges until such
construction work has been completed. IIpon completion of construction work, the owner
will have to make application for service as provided in this ordinance. No charge
will be made for such application.
Where water mains are not adjacent to the property and application for
service has been made, the City will oxtend its water mains a maximum of 150 feet
without cost to the applicant. All additional mains shall be paid for by the applicant

at a cost of $2.00 per lineal foot. Refund of this cost will be made to the applicant
if, within ten (10) years sufficient taps have been made into the extended line
whereby there will be one water service £or each 150 feet of new water main laid.n
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to. certify to
the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once in the
_ Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and circulated in the City
of Lynwood.

the 21st day of April, 1953, and finally adopted and ordered published at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the th day of May, 1953+ by the following vote:
