The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as follows: Section 1: That a certain book, three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood, being marked ard. designated as "Suggested Fire Prevention Ordinance" as recommended by the ivational Board of Fire Underwriters, 85 John Street, New York, ATew York, 194'] Edition, except Section 301, Section 302 (a), (b), (c), Part 3, "Pyrotechnics and Small Arms Ammunj.tion°; Section 2101, Part 21, "Miscellaneous"; Sections 2801, 280?_, 2803, Part 28, "Penalties for Violation", be and the same is hereby adopted as the Fire Prevention Ordinance of the City of Lynwood. Section 2: Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions cf this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis- demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed ~n500.0.0 or by imprisonment in the City or County Ja.i1 for not to exceed six months, or by both such fine a,nd imprisonment. Each separate day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this prdinance occurs or. continues shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable as Y~erein provided. Section 3: Effect of Ordinance. If a.ny section, subsection, sentence, clause, or .phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held. to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The Legislative Body hereby declares that it would 'nave passed 'this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, -1- clauses, or phrases be declared uncanatitutional. Section 4; All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict with or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishmer_t of any person for any act done or^,;com- witted in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this ordinance. Section 5: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify to the passage of this ord_ina.nce and to cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circu- lation printed and circulated in the City of Lynwood. First read at a regular meeting of the City Council o'f said City held on the 7th da;~ of April and finally adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said. Council held cn the 21st day of A?~ryil by the following vote: Ayes; Councilmen Bruner, Daetweiler, Pearson, Sneddon, Y7illard. Noes: Councilmen: None.
