AN ORDINANCE A'r~ElQDINCs SECTION 27 OF ORDINANCE
N0. 418 TO PROVIDE ALTERNATE LICENSE FEE.
The City Council of the City of Lynvrood does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section l: That Section 27 of Ordinance DIo..418 shall
be amended to read a.e follows:
"Section 27. Advertising by Search Light, etc.: For every
person conducting, managing or carrying on the business of advertising
by means of a search light, stereoscope, biograph, moving picture or
any similar device, Five Dollars ("S~'S.00) per day for each such machine
or device, or one license for Fifty Dollars 050.00) per annum to
cover an unlimited number of said machines or devices, provided that
nothing in this section contained. shall be construed to affect or apply
to an•y person who shall be liable for and shall pay the license under
any provision of this ord.inanee, and who shall use a. stereoscope,
biograph or moving picture or any similar device for the purpose of
advertising goods, war. es, or merchandise of the business of said person
only.~~
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and_ directed to
certify to the passage of this ordinance and_ to cause the same to be
published once in the Lynwood Press, a nevrspa,per of general circulation
printed, published, and circulated in the Gity- of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City C,ounci7_ of said
City held on the 2.Oth day of January, '1953, a.nd finally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
3rd day of February, 1953, by the fol7_owing vote:
Ayes; Councilmen Bruner, Daetweiler LPeareon,
Sneddon, >n'illard,
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen
