ORDINANCE NO. 1983-116 1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 83 OF THE
ORDINANCES OF TIFFIN, IOWA. BY REPEALING SECTION 15 OF THE
ORDINANCE AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF SECTION 15 AS
OUTLINED BELOW PROVIDING FOR A NEW M1 INDUSTRIAL ZONE USE
CLASSIFICATION.
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin,
Iowa :
Section I . Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to
amend the present City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 83 , by repealing
Section 15 of the Ordinance and enacting in lieu thereof Section
15 of the Ordinance creating a new M1 use classification.

Section 2 . Repeal . Section 15 of Ordinance No. 83 is hereby
repealed.
Section 3 . Enaction. The following Section 15 is here
enacted as part of Ordinance No. 83 :
SECTION 15 . Ml Industrial. Zone Uses. M1 Industria.l. Zone
use rate shall be as follows :

1 . Those uses as butlined under Cl Commercial .
2 . Automotive `repair shops including both mechanical.
and autobody repair.
Section 4 . Repealer. :All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions' of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 5 . . Severability. If any section, provision, or
part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or uncon-
stitutional , such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional .
Section 6 . Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in
effect after its final passage, approval. , and posting as provided
by law.
On the 12th day of October , 1983 , at a regular
meeting of the Tiffin City Council , Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson
Spivey introduced Ordinance No. 116 , and moved that it
be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by
Councilperson Brown . Ayes : Spivey, Rohret, Stevens,
Brown, Cox

Motion . carried.
The reading of the ordinance was completed and discussed and
placed on record.
kmotion was made by Councilperson Spivey to
adopt Ordinance # 1983-116 and seconded by Councilperson Brown
. Ayes : Spivey, Rohret, Stevens, Brown, Cox
Nayes : . Motion carried.
On the 12th day of October , 1983 , at a regular •
meeting of the City +Council of Tiffin, Iowa, with a majority of
the Council members present, Councilperson Rohret
moved that the rule requiring a second and third reading and
reading on three different dates be dispensed with. This motion
was seconded by ,Councilperson Cox .
Ayes : Spivey, Rohret, 'Stevens, Brown, Cox
Nayes :
Motion carried.
Whereupon the Mayor diecl:ared that Ordinance No. be
adopted and signified his approval of the same by fixing his
signature thereto.
Passed by the Council on the 12th day of October
1983 , and approved by the Mayor on the 12th day of October
1983 .
