AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNVIOOD, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE N0. 423 OF THE
CITY OF LYNti~J00D, WHICH ORDINANCE, AMONG OTHER
THINGS, ADOPTS THE UNIFORR4BL'ILDING CODE, AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 498 OF THE CITY OF
LYDP+TOOD.
The City Council~of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows;
Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 423 of the City of
Lynwood is hereby amended. to read as follows;
"Section 1: That a certain document, three (3) copies oP
which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Lynwood, being marked and designated as "Uniform Building Code, 1952
Edition, Volume I, by Pacific Coa.at Building Officials' Conference"
be a.nd the same is hereby adopted as the building code of tine City of
Lynwood for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alter-
ation, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy,
equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of all buildings and/or
structures in the City of Lynwood.; providing for issuance of permits
and collection of fees therefor, providing penalties for violation of
such code, declaring and establishing fire zones; and each and all of
the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of such
"Uniform Building Code, 1952 Edition, Volume I, by the Pacific Coast
Building Officials' Conference," on file in the office of the City
Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if
fully set out in this ordinance.°
Section 2: Ordinance No. 498 of the City of Lynwood. is
hereby repealed,
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed a.nd circulated in the City_of Lynwood.

Council of said City held on the 2nd day of July, 1952 and finally
adopted a.nd ordered. published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 15th da.,y of July, 1952, by the follooring vote:
AYES; Councilmen Bruner, Pearson, Sneddon, and t4illard,
NOES: Councilmen: None.
