AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNTr700D AMENDING
SECTION 154 OF ORDINANCE D10. 493 BY PROVIDING
FOR TEMPORARY PERbYITS FOR ALL NIGHT PARKING
IN CASES OF EXTREME HARDSHIPS.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain
as follovrs:
SECTION 1. That Section 15~ of Lynwood Ordinance No. X93
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 15~. All Night Parking Prohibited. Exception -
Permit Required. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on
any street for a period of time longer than two hours between the
hours of 1:00 a. m, and 6:00 a. m. of any day except in accordance
with an all night parking permit attached to such vehicle as herein-
after provided.
SECTION 154.1. Same. Application. Each application for an all
night parking permit shall be filed in writing with the Traffic
Authority upon a form to be furnished by him and shall be accompanied
by a receipt of an investigation fee in the sum of X7.50 paid to the
City Clerk of the City of Lynwood. Each such application shall :.:c
set forth the name and address of the applicant; the location
of the place of residence of the applicant; the license number
and motor vehicle number of the vehicle; the make, model and type
of vehicle; the necessity for the permit requested; and such other
information as the Traffic Authority may require.
SECTION 154.2. Same. Investigation. Upon the filing of each
such application, the Trap-fic Authority shall cause to be made such
investigation as he may deem proper to ascertain whether such permit
should be granted. If, after such investigation, the Traffic Autho-
rity determines that there is not adequate off-street parking space
reasonably obtainable by the applicant at the place of his residence
or taithin six hundred feet thereof, for the parking of the vehicle
described in the application in order to comply with Section 154,
an all night parking permit shall be granted for such period of

time as is reasonable for the providing of off street parking;
otherwise it aha.ll be denied,
SECTION 154.3• Same. Substituted Vehicle. If a permittee
surrenders an unexpired permit for a certain vehicle, he may obtain
a permit for a substituted vehicle for the unexpired term upon pay-
ment of a fee of ~p1.00.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly neVrapaper published,
printed, and circulated in the City of Lynwood, California.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the 6th day of November, 1951, and finally
adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 20th' day of November 1951, by the following vote:
