AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE, NOS. , 62' "and 120 OF THE
ORDIANANCES OF TIFFIN, IOWA, , SAID ORDINANCE WAIVING CERTAIN
MINIMUM FEES FOR THE 'USE AND SERVICE OF THE MUNICIPAL WATER
SYSTEM OF TIFFIN, IOWA.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I . Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to
amend the present City of Tiffin Ordinances Nos . -62 and 120 so as
to waive, the minimum monthly water rate for each family,
residential dwelling, or living unit, located on any present
premises in Tiffin, Iowa, and which are vacant pursuant to notice
for more than 90 continuous days .
SECTION II . Amendment. Section I of Ordinance No. 62 of
the City of Tiffin is, hereby amended and the following is
inserted .:at the end text of Section I of Ordinance No. 62 as
amended by Ordinance No. 120 :
However, the minimum use and service charge for
each family, residential dwelling, or living unit
shall not be imposed after 90 days from the date
upon which the owner or occupier of any such pre-
mises shall give notice to the City Clerk or other
duly appointed officer of the non-occupancy of the
dwelling by any authorized persons . This- provi-
sion shall be, retroactive to January 1, 1984.
SECTION III . Repealer. All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are
repealed.
SECTION IV. Saving Clause. If any section, provision, or
part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional , such adjudication shall not affect the validity
of this ordinance as a whole, or any part, provision or section
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional .
SECTION- V. When Effective. ffhis ordinance shall be in
effect after its final passage, approval , and publication, as
provided by law.
Passed by the Council on this 11th day of April , 1984 and
approved on this 11th day of April , 1984.

Councilman Spivey then moved, that the rule or law requiring three ,
readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. .On roll call Councilman Cox, LKobold, Morgan. Spivey'
Stevens voted "Aye". voted "Nay."' '
The Mayor then declared this Ordinance duly passed and adopted on this
