RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DAVEY TREE TO REMOVE LIMBS AND/OR
TREES AND GRIND STUMPS AT VARIOUS CITY LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the City has several trees and dangerous limbs that need to be removed; and,
WHEREAS, the Operations Manager solicited bids from three tree companies and received bids from
two; and,
WHEREAS, Davey Tree provided the lowest bid for the removal of dangerous limbs, trees, and stump
grinding; and,
WHEREAS, the Operations Manager recommends Council accept the bid from Davey Tree, in the amount
of $9,830; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this action are:
001-430-6490 — Parks Miscellaneous Expense
001-650-6490 — City Hall Miscellaneous Expense
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
THAT:
Section 1. The bid from Davey Tree for the removal of dangerous limbs, trees, and stump grinding in
the total amount of $9,830 is approved.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute all necessary paperwork with Davey Tree to accept the
bid.
Section 3. The Operations Manager is authorized to schedule the work to be done as soon as
possible.
