A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO S.J. GRIGOLLO CONSTRUCTION AS THE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT OF $92,990 FOR THE
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.999;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYGK TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, the Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 4011.67.999, is
scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2008-2009; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted the contract
documents for said project on September 16, 2008, and Public Works staff
advertised the project on September 18, 2008; and
WHEREAS, ten (10) contractors received project plans and contract
documents; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on
October 9, 2008, and that the Director of Public Works /City Engineer has
ascertained that S.J. Grigollo Construction was the apparent lowest responsible
bidder for its base bid of $92,990; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified funding sources that can be used to
i''--` complete the current sidewalk complaint list.
i NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Sidewalk Improvement Project,
Project No. 4011.67.999, be awarded to S.J. Grigollo Construction for its total bid
of $ 92,990.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
agreement between the City Council of the City of Lynwood and S.J. Grigollo
Construction.
Section 3. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriations and transfers:

!'~ Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
