A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT
AGREEMENT WITH LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT
THE LYNWOOD REGIONAL JUSTICE CENTER ON
ALAMEDA STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Regional Justice Center was
completed in September, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the County has requested the installation of a
traffic signal at the center's south entrance on Alameda Street;
and
WHEREAS, the County agreed to pay for 100% of the cost
of construction which has been estimated at $80,000; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County now need to enter into
a Maintenance and Replacement Agreement for the proposed traffic
signal; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has reviewed said agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee be
authorized to make the necessary fund appropriations and
transfers:

Unappropriated funds to be
received from Los Angeles
County, $80,000
TO
Justice Center Traffic Signal
Installation Project
$80,000
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the
Maintenance and Replacement Agreement for the proposed traffic
signal on Alameda Street at the Lynwood Regional Justice Center.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
