HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 82-2047 Election: Establishing voting precinct and poll locations for April 13, 1982RESOLUTION NO. 82 -2047 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELEC- TION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 13TH DAY OF APRIL, 1982, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter of the City of Temple City, State of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held on the 13th day of April, 1982, for the election of three members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the City of Temple City, said election has been called for the 13th day of April, 1982, as set forth in Resolution No. 81 -2029, adopted by the City Council on the 1st day of December, 1981, without establishing voting precincts in said Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALI- FORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby established fourteen (14) voting precincts consisting (of consolidations) of the regular election precincts in the City of Temple City established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the compensation of the persons hereinabove named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Thirty -five Dollars ($35) for each Inspector and Thirty Dollars ($30) for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Twenty -five Dollars ($25) for said election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be Twelve Dollars ($12) for said election. SECTION 3. The notice of the place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, shall enter the same in the book of original IResolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
