Ordinance No. 1985-131 . - ORDINANCE NO. 1983-131 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 57 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, ESTABLISHING RATES, CHARGES AND RULES FOR THE USE AND SERVICE OF THE MUNICIPAL SEWER SYSTEM OF TIFFIN, IOWA BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: SECTION I. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Ordinance No. 57 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, establishing payment due date, late fee charges for the use and service of the municipal sewer system. SECTION II. Repeal : Section 5 of Ordinance No. 57 is hereby repealed. . SECTION III. Enaction. The following SECTION 5 is enacted as part of Ordinance No. 57. SECTION 5: Bills shall be dated and mailed on the first business day of each month. The due date shall be the fifteenth ( 15th) day of the month, unless that date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, in which case, the due date shall be the next regular business day of the month. Bills shall be postmarked on or before the due date, or delivered to the City Clerk on or before the due date, to be considered paid on time. If any bill is not paid on or before the due date, a late fee shall be added thereto in ' the amount of ten percent ( 10%) of the sewer fee. SECTION IV. Repealer: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION V. Severability: If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adJudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION VI. Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be , in effect after its final passage, approval, and posting as 7rovided by law. • • � . / Ordinance No. 1985-132 Cox introduced the fo i -'�� �rego ng ordinance which was then duly read and considered by the Council.
