A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE MASTER PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF
MERVYN DYMALLY CONGRESSIONAL PARK
WHEREAS, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park Renovation Project is
included in the City's Capital Improvement Program; and
' WHEREAS, the City Council on June 7, 1994 directed staff to issue a Request
for Proposals/Requests for Qualifications Statement for preparing a Master Plan to renovate
Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on August 2, 1994 per Resolution No. 94 -128
awarded a contract to Purkiss.Rose -RSI consulting firm for preparing a Master Plan,
construction plans, and specifications for the redevelopment of Mervyn Dymally Congressional
Park; and
WHEREAS, the process of preparing the Master Plan for Mervyn Dymally
Congressional Park included conducting public workshops through which Lynwood citizens
participated in designing their desired renovations for the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park;
and
WHEREAS, the Master Plan for renovation of the Mervyn Dymalty
Congressional Park has been prepared and is ready for City Council's review and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
Master Plan for redevelopment of Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park.
Sectio 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
