A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A DESIGN CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $81,000 TO
PURKISS.ROSE -RSI FOR PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MERVYN DYMALLY CONGRESSIONAL PARK
RENOVATION PROJECT PHASE II
Whereas, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park Renovation Project is included in
the city's Capital Improvement Program; and
Whereas, the City Council at its meeting of August 2, 1994 per Resolution
No. 94 -128, authorized staff to negotiate a contract price with Purkiss.Rose -RS] for
preparation of construction plans and specifications after preparation of a Master Plan for
renovation of Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park; and
Whereas, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park Master Plan which serves as the
model for preparation of the construction plans and specifications was approved by the City
Council on January 17, 1995 per Resolution No. 95 -8; and
Whereas, staff has negotiated a contract in the amount of $81,000 with Purkiss.Rose-
RSI for preparation of construction plans and specifications for the Mervyn Dymally
Congressional Park Renovation Project, Phase 11.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Sect ion 1. That the City Council award a design contract in the amount of $81,000
to Purkiss.Rose -RSI for preparation of construction plans and specifications for the Mervyn
Dymally Congressional Park Renovation Project, Phase II.
' Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute a contract
between the City of Lynwood and Purkiss.Rose -RSI.
Sect ion 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
