AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 110 OP THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN IOWA PRESCRIBING TE A OF PAYMENT TO

ELECTED OPFTCIALS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O ` TIFFIN, IOWA:

SECTION I. Purpose. The purpdse of this ordinance is
to provide for payment of elected officials for the
perfor'mance of their duties for thevCity.
SECTION 2. As used in this Ordinance, "elected
officials" means the Mayor and City ^Council members.
SECTION 3. Compensation for the City Council members.
Tiffin City Council members shall receive comoensation
according to the following schedule:
$20. 00 for each regular meeting attended by the
councilmember.
, $10. 00 for each special � "eeting attended by the
oouncilmember .
$10. 00 for each addiional meeting attended by the
councilmember of the following groups, at the direction of
the Mayor or City Council :
Tiffin Planning and Zoning.
Tiffin Board of Adjustment',
Tiffin Parks and Recreat idn
Johnson County Council of 'Governments
' JohnSon County Civil Defense
Southeast Iowa Municipal Ueague
SECTION 4. Compensation of Mayor. The Tiffin Mayor
shall receive $500. 00 annually las compensation. In
addition, the mayor shAll receive: i
$10. 00 for each additional meeting attended by the
mayor of the following groups: .
Tiffin Planning and Zoning
Tiffin Board of Adjustment
Tiffin Parks and Recreation
Johnson County Council of Governments
Johnson County Civil Defense
L Johnson County Board of Supervisors _
Southeast Iowa Municipal League
SECTION 5 Repealer. All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
are repealed.

SECTION 6. Saving Clause. If any section, provision
or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or
. unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the
validity of this ordinance as a whole, or any section,
provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.

SECTION 7 Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in
effect beginning January 1, 1986.

Council. Its adoption was moved by Councilman .Stevens________

Councilman Runge then moved that the rule or law
requiring three readings of this ordinance on three
different dates be dispensed with. Seconded by Councilman

this ordinance, seconded by Councilman Stevens . On

The Mayor Pro-tem then declared Ordinance No. 1985-134
