A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CIVIL WORKS
CORP. IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,079.00 FOR THE
VIRGINIA AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT
5 -5164, FY 1994 -95, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Virginia Avenue Improvement Project,
Project No. 5 -5164, is scheduled for completion during
FY 1994 -95, and is funded by Gas Tax proceeds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on March 9, 1995 and
Civil Works Corp. was the apparent lowest bidder at $48,079.00;
and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this
company has the necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the contract for the Virginia Avenue
Improvement Project, Project No. 5 -5164, be awarded to Civil
Works Corp. for its low bid of $48,079.00.
Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Civil Works
Corp.
' Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of
March , 1995.
