RESOLUTION NO. 95 -36
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL FOR THE DESIGN OF A NEW YOUTH CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been the recipient of a grant in the
amount of $640,200 from the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District
for the development of a new Youth Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council per Resolution No. 94 -204 designated the
City owned property located at the southwest corner of Birch Street and Mulford Street
as the site for the development of a new Youth Center; and
WHEREAS, The Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space
District has entered into a Project Agreement with the City of Lynwood for the Lynwood
Youth Center Project; and
WHEREAS, in order to prepare the design and specification for
construction of the Lynwood Youth Center services of an Architecture/Engineering
consultant is required; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared a Request For Proposal (RFP) in order to
select the most qualified consultant to prepare the design and specifications for the
construction of the Lynwood Youth Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the issuance of a
Request For Proposal (RFP) to provide architectural and engineering services for the
design of a new Youth Center at the southwest corner of Birch Street and Mulford
Avenue.
