THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
GRANT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE URBAN PARR AND RECREATION
RECOVERY ACT OF 1978

WHEREAS, the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Act of 1978
established a grant program providing funds to assist communities
in rehabilitation of park and recreation systems at the
neighborhood level; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior National
Park Service has been designated to administer said funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been deemed eligible to apply
for said funds; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Lynwood in the
County of Los Angeles, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California that
the Director of Recreation and Community Services is authorized and
directed to file this grant application for the development of the
Y.E.P. We Can Innovation Project and to provide such additional
information as may be required with respect to the City of
Lynwood's participation in this grant program.
