HomeMy Public PortalAbout95-057 (05-02-95)RESOLUTION NO. 95 -57 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF VENDORS THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE 1995 UNITY FESTIVAL WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to offer a program combining the Unity Festival and the July 4th Fireworks Celebration; and WHEREAS, in 1994 only two (2) vendors responded to the ' formal bid offering for providing the fireworks display; and WHEREAS, the acquisition of these services would be more economically and efficiently effected through the use of the informal bid process; and WHEREAS, the City Council by a 4/5 vote can approve funding through an alternate bid procedure; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows: Section 1. The City Council waives the formal bid procedure for the provision of the 1995 Fireworks Display of July 4th.
