A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, A PUBLIC
BODY APPROVING THE CITY OF LYNWOOD'S CONSOLIDATED PLAN
PURSUANT TO 24 CFR PART 91, 92, 570, 574, 579, AND 968, AND THE
CONSOLIDATED SUBMISSION FOR COMMUNITY PLANNING AND
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development section 24 CFR Part 91
et al. has finalized new rules for the submission of the federally funded and entitlement grant
programs offered to the City; and,
WHEREAS, the new rule will replace the City of Lynwood existing regulations for the
Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy with a rule that consolidates the planning,
application, program description, community development plan, and final statement into a single
consolidated submission requiring all of the community planning and development formula grant
programs to replace the general performance reports with one performance report submitted in
the same application; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood will receive entitlement funding for the Community
Development Block Grant in the amount of $3,015,486.00 for Fiscal Year 1995/96 and the
HOME Investment Partnership in the amount of $481,000.00 for Fiscal Year 1995/96; and,
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council and the Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Board Commission have conducted the required public hearings to obtain citizen input
on the Consolidated Plan and have taken public comments into consideration; and,
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan contains a use of funds for Lynwood's 1995/96
entitlements under Housing and Urban Development program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, determine,
order, and resolve as follows :
Section 1 . Approve and adopt the Consolidated Plan and all contents thereof.
Section 2 . This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
