A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE COMPLETION OF THE
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD /IMPERIAL HIGHWAY
CONCRETE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT 5 -5144,
FY 1994 -95 THROUGH AN INFORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURE
'
WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard /Imperial
Improvement Project, Project No. 5 -5144 is
Highway Concrete
scheduled for construction during FY 1994 -95;
and
WHEREAS, the project involves
various small
construction trades, and is estimated to cost
$27,000; and
WHEREAS, it is staff's opinion that
the project can be
accomplished more economically and expeditiously
if done through
an informal bidding procedure; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize the purchases
and acquisition of
services through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of
the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve
as follows:

Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff
to complete the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard /Imperial Highway
Concrete Improvement Project, Project 5 -5144, through informal
bids.
Section 2 . This resolution shall take
effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of
June
1995.
