A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE FOR
CERTAIN NECESSARY RIGHT -OF -WAY, AND THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND ACCEPT GRANT DEED,
FOR THE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD /IMPERIAL
HIGHWAY CONCRETE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT 5 -5144,
FY 1994 -95
' WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard /Imperial
Highway Concrete Improvement Project, Project No. 5 -5144 is
scheduled for construction during FY 1994 -95; and
WHEREAS, the project requires the acquisition of a
corner cutoff at the northwest corner of the Martin Luther King
Jr. Boulevard and Imperial Highway intersection, to accommodate
the new improvements; and
WHEREAS, said right -of -way acquisition is estimated to
cost $600; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to complete this
project and has determined that the best interest of the City
shall be served by acquiring said right -of -way.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section I. That the City Council authorizes staff
to negotiate for the acquisition of said right -of -way.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor
to execute the agreement and accept the grant deed for said
right -of -way.
Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of
June , 1995.
