A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE LEASE/PURCHASE OF A COPIER AND APPROPRIATING
THE NECESSARY r JNDS
' Whereas, the City of ]: ynwood has a high production Xerox Copier 1090; and
Whereas, the lease agreement for the Copier 1090 will expire in October, 1995; and
Whereas, Xerox Corporation has a program providing discounted prices to governmental
entities like Lynwoo6 that elect to purchase and/or lease the items through an agreement
that Xerox Corporation has entered into with the County of Los Angeles; and
Whereas, the most cost - effective option for the City to meet its copier needs is the
trading -in of the existing machine and upgrading to other Xerox equipment;
NOW, THEREFOR'I, he City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim and resolve as follows
Section 1. S ? -ce purchase of copy machines rce more economically and efficiently
effected throcgh negotiations and inforrra. bidding, Ehe City Council waives formal
bidding procedures in accordance with Section 6-3.3 of the Municipal Code.
Section 2. Th L ohs'Vz r �es.g::Fe autnorized to sign lease/purchase
' Section 3. T`rdt the following <p.- op_iations are made to the FY 1995/96 budget:

Section 4. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
