ORDINANCE NO. 1986-141
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN
PREPERTY FROM A-1 AGRICULTURAL TO R-1 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the
zoning map of the Zoning Ordinance No. 1979-83 of the Mthiicipal Code of
Tiffin, Iowa, by changing the use classification of the real estate
described in Section II from A-1 Agricultural to R-1 Single-Family
Residential.
SECTION II. Amendment. The parcel of land hereinafter described
shall be zoned as follow:
From A-1, Agricultural to R-1, Single-Family Residential the
following:
All that part of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the—Northwest
Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 28, Township 80 North, Range 7 West of •
the 5th P.M. lying west of the public road which runs generally in
a North and South direction through Section 28 known as the Rolla
Johnson Road, except, commencing at an iron rod purported to be the
theorectical center of said Section 28; thence N56 26'W, 33.09
feet to the point of beginning; thence N88 17'W on the south line
of the northwest quarter' as evidenced in the field 291.59 feet;
thence N2 56'E, 181. 19 feet;• thence 589 03'E, 261.59 feet; thence
S8 45'E, 111.92 feet; thence S2 41'E, 74.81 feet to the point of
beginning.
and
The North half of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter
and the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter lying East of the public road which runs generally in a
North and South direction through Section 21 and Section 28, known
as the Rolla' Johnson Road. All being in Section 28, Township 80
North, Range 7 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian.

SECTION III. Authorization. The mayor or other desginee of the
City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change the zoning map
of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page
53, Records of Johnson County, Iowa, to conform to this amendment, upon
the final passage, approval and publication of the ordinance as proyided
by law.
SECTION IV. Certification. The City Clerk is hereby- authorized
and directed to certify a copy of this ordinance to the County Recorder
of Johnson County, Iowa, upon final passage; approval and publication as
provided by law.
SECTION VI. Repealer. All ordinance / or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION VII. Severability. If any section, provision or part of
this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as a whole, or any section,
provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION VIII. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final ^assage, approval and posting as provided by law.
Cnuncilmam Stratton introduced the foregoing ordinance which
was then duly read and considered by the Council. Its adoption was
moved by Councilman Stoner and seconded by Councilman

voted "Aye". voted "Nay". Mayor
declared motion carried. Morgan ; absent .
Councilman Stoner then moved that the rule or law requiring
three readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. Seconded by Councilman
Runge . On roll call vote Councilman Flansburg , Runge ,
Stoner , Stratton voted "Aye. " Councilman
voted "Nay". Morgan ; absent .

The Mayor then declared Ordinance No. 1986-141 duly passed and
adopted on this 10th day of December, 1986.

The foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, BY CHANGING
THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM A-1 AGRICULTURAL TO R-1
SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL was published on the 26th day of December
1986 by posting copies thereof in three public places within the limits,
two of which are the mayor' s office and the post office.
