A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A FOUR YEAR TREE TRIMMING
CONTRACT TO CALIFORNIA WESTERN ARBORISTS, INC.
IN THE AMOUNT OF $628,435

WHEREAS, the City has adopted a Four Year Cycle Tree
Trimming Program; and
Fiscal Year 1991 -92 through Fiscal Year 1994 -95 with California Western
Arborists, Inc., will end on June 30, 1995; and
WHEREAS, California Western Arborists, Inc., has requested
renewal of it s contract with the City for an additional four year term; and
WHEREAS, the current contract for tree trimming services for
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.13 (f) of the Lynwood Municipal Code
provides an exemption from formal purchasing procedures when the City is
seeking a contract for tree trimming, ground maintenance and street sweeping
services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council award a Tree Trimming
Contract for Fiscal Year 1995 -96 through Fiscal Year 1998 -99 to California
Western Arborists, Inc., in the amount of $628,435 and the Mayor be authorized
to execute the agreement.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
June ' 1995.
