A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE MODIFICATION OF
ROUTE C OF THE LYNWOOD FIXED ROUTE TROLLEY
SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO IMPLEMENT
THE CHANGES
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council desires to provide its residents with an
' alternative mode of transportation to help mobility by reducing traffic congestion and
improving air quality by providing the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley Service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood currently operates a three (3) route, four (4)
trolley fixed route service in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Green Line station, located on Long Beach Blvd. at the
1 -105 Fwy, is scheduled to open on August 16, 1995; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to re -route one of the trolleys to service this
area; and
WHEREAS, Route C of the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley System can be
modified to service the Metro Green Line station and surrounding area of Lynwood.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
Proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That Route C of the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley System be
modified to service the Metro Green Line station as shown on the attached map dated
June 19, 1995 and made part of this resolution.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
