A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A DESIGN CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $44,800 TO JUBANY ARCHITECTURE FOR
PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE LYNWOOD YOUTH CENTER
WHEREAS, the construction of a new Youth Center has been included in the
City's Fiscal Year 1995 -96 budget; and
WHEREAS, the necessary funding for construction of the new Lynwood youth
Center, in the amount of $640,200 has been made available through the Los Angeles County Park
and Open Space District Competitive Grant program; and
WHEREAS, on March 21, 1995 the City Council per Resolution No.
95 -36 authorized the issuance of Request For Proposals for the design of the new Lynwood Youth
Center; and
WHEREAS, seventy-two (72) reputable Architectural and Engineering firms
received Requests For Proposals for design of the new Lynwood Youth Center; and
WHEREAS, nine (9) architectural firms submitted their proposals for design
of the Lynwood Youth Center for City's review and consideration; and
WHEREAS, staff through a detailed and extensive proposal analysis procedure
has determined that Jubany Architecture is the most qualified firm to prepare the construction plans
and specifications for the construction of the Lynwood Youth Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
I find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
n 1. The City Council award a design contract in the amount of
$44,800 to Jubany Architecture for preparation of construction plans and specifications for the
Lynwood Youth Center.
Sect ion 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute a
contract between the City of Lynwood and Jubany Architecture.
Sectio 3 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
