A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONDUCT A
PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER A NUISANCE IS
BEING MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lynwood has
recommended that this City Council find that certain premises
within the City of Lynwood may be maintained in such a way as to
constitute a nuisance; and
WHEREAS, certain procedures are set forth in Chapter
3 -13 of the City Code of the City of Lynwood, pursuant to which
nuisance may be abated; and
WHEREAS, the conditions on said property which may
constitute a nuisance are:
1. Illegal dumping of lumber, salvage materials
and concrete.
2. Illegal storage of scrap lumber, rock and
concrete debris.
3. Illegal operation of a recycling and concrete
crushing business.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1. Based upon the aforesaid recommendation of
the City Manager, this Council hereby finds and determines that
the following described property may presently be maintained in
such manner as to constitute a nuisance. Such property is
described as Lot 23 of Book 6188, Page 006 generally known as
11655 Louise Avenue, City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The method(s) by which said conditions
could be abated include, but are not limited to:
1. Removal of all debris and scrap lumber on site.
2. Cleaning and maintaining site.
3. Complying with all conditions of approval for
Site Plan Review SPR 119.
Section 3 . The owner of said property, King H. Hu
and /or current tenant, Sergio Lopez, may be ordered to take said
steps in order to abate said nuisance pursuant to Chapter 3 -13.7.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THIS COUNCIL therefore
declares its intention to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to
Chapter 3 -13 of the City Code of Lynwood to ascertain whether the
above described conditions constitute a public nuisance, the
abatement of which is appropriate under public power of the City
of Lynwood, and,
THE CITY COUNCIL hereby fixes the hour of 7:30 p.m.,
August 15, 1995, as the time and the City Council Chambers, 11330
Bullis Road, as the place for said public hearing; and the City
Clerk is authorized and directed to serve and post certified
copies of the resolution in the manner set forth in Chapter 3-
13.4 of the Lynwood City Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City of Lynwood held on the 18th day of July, 1995.
