ORDINANCE NO. 1987-_ 144.-
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE IOWA-STATE BUILDING CODE FOR TIFFIN,
IOWA.
BE_ IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA: .
SECTION I . Purpose-. The purpose of this ordinance is to
enact the Iowa State Building Code as established by Iowa Code
Chapter 103A of the Code of Iowa (1985) for use in the City of
Tiffin, Iowa.
SECTION II . State_ Building Code Adopted. State Building
Code as established by Chapter 103A of the Code of Iowa (1985) is
hereby adopted. A `copy of said Building Code shall be kept on
file with the clerk 6f the city of Tiffin.
SECTION III . Repealer. All ordinances , or parts of
ordinances , in conflict with this .ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. Severability. If any section, provision, or
part of this ordinance shall be- adjudged invalid or
unconsitutional , such adjudication shall not effect the ordinance
as a whole on any_ section, provision, or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional .
SECTION V. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be
effective July 1, ` 1987.
Councilman Flensburg- introduced the foregoing
ordinance which was then duly read and considered by the Council .
Its adoption was moved. by Councilman Stratton
and seconded by Councilman Runge On roll call- vote
Councilman Flensburg , Morgan , Runge , Stoner , Stratton
voted "Aye" . Councilman voted "Nay" .
Mayor declared motion carried.
Councilman- Stoner then moved that the rule or
law requiring three readings -of this ordinance on three
difference dates be dispensed with. Seconded by Councilman-
_ Flansburg . On roll call vote Councilman_. Morgan ,
Flansburg , Runge , Stoner , Stratton voted "Aye" . Councilman
voted "Nay" .
Councilman Runge then-moved for final
adoption of this ordinance, seconded by Councilman
Morgan . On roll call vote Councilman
Morgan , Runge , Flansburq , Stoner, Stratton voted f"Aye" . •
Councilman voted "Nay" .
The Mayor then declared Ordinance No. 1987-144 duly passed
and adopted on this 10th day of June- 1987.

The foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE
STATE BUILDING CODE FOR TIFFIN , IOWA WAS PUBLISHED ON THE
1ISTH DAY OF June , 1987 by posting copies thereof in three
public places within the limits , two of which are the
mayor ' s office and the post office .
