RESOLUTION NO. 95 -11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING RULES OF CONDUCT
APPLICABLE TO MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
AND TO MEETINGS OF THE CITY'S BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS
' FOLLOWS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RESOLVES AS
Section 1. The following "Rules of Conduct" are
adopted by the City Council for meetings of the City Council and
for meetings of the City's Boards and Commissions:
" RULES OF CONDUCT
The Lynwood City Council has adopted rules of conduct
for members of the public who attend meetings of the City Council
and of the City's Boards and Commissions ( "Public Meetings. ")
The following rules apply to conduct at any such Public Meeting:
1. REMOVAL FROM THE PUBLIC MEETING PLACE.
The presiding officer, in the exercise of sound
discretion, may order removed from the Public Meeting
place any person who commits any of the following acts
in the course of a regular, adjourned regular, or
special meeting:
(a) Disorderly, contemptuous, or insolent
behavior toward the Council, Board, or Commission,
or any member thereof, which behavior tends to
interrupt the due and orderly course of that
meeting.
(b) A breach of the peace, boisterous conduct, or
violent disturbance, any of which tends to
interrupt the due and orderly course of that
meeting.
(c) Disobedience of any lawful order of the
presiding officer, including an order to be seated
or to refrain from addressing the members of the
Council, Board, or Commission.
(d) Any other unlawful interference with the due
and orderly course of that meeting.
2. EXCLUSION OF OFFENDERS
Any person so removed from a Public Meeting will
be excluded from further attendance at that meeting
unless permission to reenter or to remain at that
meeting is granted by a majority vote of the Council,
' Board, or Commission. The exclusion of a person under
these rules will be enforced by any individual duly
designated to act as sergeant -at -arms at the Public
Meeting."
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed
to take all appropriate actions to disseminate the "Rules of
Conduct" set forth in this Resolution to all members of the
Council and of the City's Boards and Commissions.

Section 3. This Resolution is effective upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of
August , 1995.
