• AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE C.A.B.O. ONE AND
TWO FAMILY DWELLING CODE, AND REPEALING THE
IOWA STATE BUIDLING CODE FOR TIFFIN, IOWA.
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City
of Tiffin, Iowa :
SECTION I . Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance
is to adopt the C.A.B.O. One and Two Family Dwelling
Code for use in the City of Tiffin, Iowa, and repeal
Ordinance No. 1987-144 providing for the application of
the Iowa State Building Code in Tiffin, Iowa.
SECTION II . C.A.B.O. One and Two Family Dwelling
Code Adopted. The C.A.B.O. One and Two Family Dwelling
Code is hereby adopted for application in the City of
Tiffin. A copy of the building code shall be kept on
file with the Clerk of the City of Tiffin. The Code
shall regulate the application, erection, construction,
enlargement, alteration, repair, location and detached
one- and two-family dwellings, their appurtenances and
accessory structures in the City of Tiffin, Iowa.
SECTION III . Repealer. All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
Ordinance are repealed.
SECTION IV. Severability. -If any section,
provision, or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged
to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication
shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a
whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstituional.
SECTION V. When Effective. This Ordinance shall
be in effect after its final passage, approval, and
publication, as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council on this 12th day of
August . 1987, and approved this 12th day of
August , 1987 .

CouncilmanStratton introduced the foregoing Ordinance
which was then duly read and considered by the Council.
Its adoption was moved by Councilman Stratton and
seconded by Councilman Runge . On roll call
vote Councilman Stoner , Runge , Stratton , Morgan , Eggers
voted "Aye" . "Nays" .
Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. •
Councilman Stratton then moved that the rule or law
requiring three readings of this ordinance on three
different dates be dispensed with. On roll call(Second by Eggers)
Councilmen Stoner , Runge , Stratton , Morgan , Eggers
voted "Aye" . "Nayes" .
The Mayor then declared this Ordinance duly passed and
adopted on this 12th day of August , 1987 .

The foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE
C.A.B.O. ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLING CODE, AND REPEALING THE
IOWA STATE BUIDLING CODE FOR TIFFIN, IOWA was published on
the 17th day of August , 1987 by posting
copies thereof in three public places within the limits,
two of which are the mayor ' s office and the post office.
