HomeMy Public PortalAbout95-130 (09-05-95)RESOLUTION NO. 95 -130 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, at their regular meeting of September 05, 1995, held a public hearing on General Plan Amendment GPA 95 -03; and WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered all Pertinent testimony offered at public hearing; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that Open Space use of this property would be consistent with the goals and Policies of the General Plan and recommended approval to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has determined that the proposal will not have a negative effect on the environment, and has thereby prepared a Negative Declaration for the project; therefore, Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and determines as follows: A. An Open Space designation of this property would be compatible with the Goals and Objectives of the General Plan. B. The property is of a size, shape and location to accommodate future recreation and open space uses. C. The proposed General Plan Amendment will not be detrimental to the properties along Fernwood Avenue and the properties surrounding the site. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the aforementioned findings and determinations, hereby approves Resolution N ®5= 13Qpproving General Plan Amendment GPA 95- 03, changing the General Plan land use designation for property in the right of way along the north side of the Century Freeway (I- 105) approximately 50 feet deep between the fence line and Fernwood Avenue extending from Long Beach Boulevard to Atlantic Avenue from Transportation to Open Space. 1 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN TO REDESIGNATE ALL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) ALONG THE NORTH ' SIDE OF THE CENTURY FREEWAY (I -105) BETWEEN LONG BEACH BOULEVARD AND ATLANTIC AVENUE FROM TRANSPORTATION TO OPEN SPACE IN LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, at their regular meeting of September 05, 1995, held a public hearing on General Plan Amendment GPA 95 -03; and WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered all Pertinent testimony offered at public hearing; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that Open Space use of this property would be consistent with the goals and Policies of the General Plan and recommended approval to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has determined that the proposal will not have a negative effect on the environment, and has thereby prepared a Negative Declaration for the project; therefore, Section 1.
