HomeMy Public PortalAboutAll Citizens Access -- 2016-04-15 Minutes Brewster All Citizens Access Committee Minutes of the meeting on April 15, 2016 Brewster Council on Aging 2:00 pm Present: Joan Carstenjen , Claire Gradone, Judy Miller and Denise Rego. Absent: Roberta Murphy Guest: Cynthia O'Leary Meeting began at 2:04pm. March 18, 2016 minutes were approved. Chairperson's_Report : 1. Captain's Golf Course: Mark O'Brien has ordered to get the work done before Memorial Day weekend. Claire will connect with him to find out about any progress. 2. Susan Broderick told Claire that our warrant article is in the May Town Meeting's warrant. Claire will connect with John Dickson to find out who will present the article at the meeting. 3. Chris Miller has purchased the mat for Paine's Creek and Denise showed the sample that he gave her. 4. BLL parking lot: The entrance/exit will be reversed, putting a handicap person into the roadway as cars enter when one parks at the handicap parking spot closest the conference room. If the handicap person is the driver, they will be on the correct side. Drop box should be installed on the exit side and reachable as a true drop box, such as the post office's mailbox drop. The puddling in front of the automatic door opener on the lower level will be redesigned and corrected. S. Coastal Study Group: Last meeting was cancelled, so Claire did not have a report. The next public meeting will be on Tuesday, April 26 from bpm to 8pm at Town Hall regarding the coastal survey. Paine's Creek seems to be the favorite beach. We are all set for Town Meeting with regards to handicapped parking. Cindy asked for Jim O'Leary if we can have a copy of the design for the COA parking lot at our next meeting. I will be attending a meeting next Wednesday and will ask for a copy to show to all ACAC members at our next meeting, which is May 20th at 2pm. E The COA's Needs &Assessment Community Presentation will be on Wednesday, April 27th at fpm at the Pavilion Room at Captain's Golf Course, Judy ask that if we have some money left from Phase I & II, the railing at the Pavilion will need repainting, as it is rusting again. Judy ask if we could consider in the future making Quivett Creek's trail accessible. Community Network Group will be meeting this Saturday at the Library from 9:30-11am and the topic of discussion will be Bikeways and Road Construction update. Meet the Candidates will be held on May 5th from 6:30-8pm at the Library. Meeting adjourned at 2:56 pm.
