Request for Proposals
"RESILIENT WATERTOWN" CLIMATE AND ENERGY PLAN
December 2020
The Town of Watertown seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms to analyze
existing climate change preparedness and clean energy infrastructure and policies, and to
develop a plan to improve them and move Watertown towards a resilient future, with
specific strategies, implementation guidance, and metrics for evaluating progress.
The selected firm shall have demonstrated previous experience in providing specified
services to municipalities. A complete RFP may be obtained, without charge, at The
Town of Watertown, 149 Main Street, Watertown, MA, 02472 or by contacting the
Purchasing Department at purchasing@watertown-ma.gov or on the web at
www.watertown-ma.gov and go to bid documents. Documents will be available after
8:30 a.m., December 30, 2020 through to submission deadline on January 27, 2021
at 1:00 p.m. Firms must submit a separate sealed price proposal marked "Price
Proposal Resilient Watertown Climate and Energy Plan" and in a separate envelope
marked "Proposal for "Resilient Watertown Climate and Energy Plan". It is
recommended that respondents to this request familiarize themselves with the detailed
RFP.
It is the intent of the Awarding Authority to award a contract within thirty (30) business
days after receiving the proposals. Once award is made, work will commence
immediately with an anticipated completion date within ten (10) months.
The deadline for submitting proposals to the Town of Watertown, Purchasing
Department, 149 Main Street, Watertown, MA, 02472, is 1:00 p.m., Wednesday,
January 27, 2021.
