Notice of Public Hearing on
Proposed Barnstable County Ordinance No. 16-05
On March 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., the Assembly of Delegates will hold a public hearing on
Proposed County Ordinance 16-05: To Amend ordinance 09-06 (which amended Ordinance 89-
3), Section 1 (a), that imposed an excise tax on certain deeds and other instruments to be
recorded at the Registry of Deeds, by increasing the amount from $1.35 to $1.53, effective July
1,2016,
The public hearing will be held in the Chamber of the Assembly of Delegates,
First District Courthouse, Route 6A,Barnstable, MA.
Anyone wishing to testify orally will be welcome to do so. Written comments may also
be submitted at the hearing, faxed to the Assembly office (508) 362-6530, e-mailed to the office
(aofd@barnstablecourity.org), or delivered or mailed for receipt by Noon on or before the date of
the hearing to the office of the Assembly of Delegates, First District Courthouse, Route 6A,
Barnstable,MA 02630.
The full text of Proposed Ordinance 16-05 has been distributed to the Town Clerk of each
town in Barnstable County and is also available fi•om the office of the Assembly of Delegates,
