ORDINANCE NO. 2675-1972
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2531-1971,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SALARY ORDINANCE, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE SERVICES OF A FULL-TIME CITY
ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, on January 1, 1972, the position of full-time City Attorney
was created, and
WHEREAS, prior to that date, the position of City Attorney was not
a full-time position, and
WHEREAS, Item 7 of Section One of the Salary Ordinance of 1971,
entitled Department of Law, formerly read, as follows:
City Attorney $5780.00
Assistant City Attorney 3855.00
Stenographer 1655.00 and
WHEREAS, said Item 7, entitled Department of Law, should reflect the
creation of the position of full-time City Attorney and should now
read, as follows:
City Attorney $7835.00
Secretary 1655.00 and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 2531-1971, The Salary Ordinance, in
order to reflect the creation of the new position of full-time
City Attorney of January 1, 1972, shall be amended so t aim 7
of Section One, shall read as follows:
City Attorney $7835.00
Secretary 1655.00
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
