AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNO10H AS THE.
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JONE 3,
1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
as follows:
SECTION 1. 1,411EREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No.
2325-1968 designates and descries as R-2 Single Family Residence
District the following described property i)cated at 790 National
Road West, in the City of Richmond, Indiana: more particularly
described to -wit:
A part of Out -lot number two (2) in the northeast quarter of
Section six (6), Township thirteen (13), R,�nge one (1) west, as
laid out by the Trustees of the Indiana Yearly Meeting of the Re-
ligious Society of Friends: Beginning at ti,e northwest corner
of said lot number two (2), running thence east eighty-three and
81/100 (83.81) feet to Moore lot; thence south along Moore's
line fcur hundred seventy-two and 78/100 (47..73) feet to the
south line of said lot; thence south eighty-tao (82) degrees
west eighty-three and 81/100 (a3.31) feet to ;he southwest corner
of said lot; thence north four hundred eighty-five and 92/100
(485.92) feet to the place of beginning. Subject to a certain
right conveyed by Calvin W. Pearson and wife ti Abijah Moffitt
for an alley, beginning one hundred eighty (180) feet south of
the northwest corner of said lot; thence east eighty-three and
81/100 (83.81) feet; thence south twenty (20) feet; thence west
eighty-three and 81/100 (83.81) feet; thence nor-,h twenty (20)
feet to the place of beginning, except eight and ine-half (8»1/2)
feet in width taken off the entire west side of ti,e tract of land
herein described, taken by the City of Richmond in a proceeding
widen West 8th Street, excepting also all that Eart of said
lot y ngg north of the alley above mentioned being Ane hundred
eighty (180) feet off of the north side of said lot.
ALSO, beginning three hundred forty-n.ine and 46/100 (349.46) feet
west of the southeast corner of a certain outlot known as Outlot
number two (2) as described in the Plat of outlots duly made and
recorded in the Recorder's Office of said County by Joh1 Maxwell,
Richard Pedrick, William Clawson and Levi Jessup, Trustees appoint-
ed by the Indiana Yearly Meeting of the Religious Societ; of
Friends, and running thence west along the south line of ;aid
lot eighty-three and 81/100 (83.81) feet; thence north two
hundred fifty-two and 745/1000 (252.745) feet; thence east
eighty-three and 81/100 (83.81) feet; thence south two hung-ed
forty-three and 3/100 (243.03) feet to the place of beginni:g.
Also a parcel of ground, and part of said outlot number two (2)
as described above, which lies between the real estate above de-
scribed and that owned by Truman C. Kenworthy, that is to say,.
between the north line of the above described Cract of real e;,Yate
and the south line of the tract of real estate owned by the said
Truman C. Kenworthy, and between the east and west lines of the
above described tract and the said Truman C. Kenworthy tract ex-
tended, which said tract is described in a certain deed from
Abijah Moffitt and wife to William A. Moore, dated October 13.
1875, and recorded in Deed Record 62, at page 238, and also
described in a certain deed from Abijah Moffitt. and wife to
Lydia P. Moore and Amanda Moore of date August 29, 1882.
Subject, however, to the rights of property holders adjacent
to the said real estate to the use of an alley through the
tract last described and between the two tracts, that as first
above described and that owned by Truman C. Kenworthy, defined
and set forth in a certain deed from Abijah Moffitt and wife
to the said William A. Moore, bearing date October 13, 1875.
and recorded in Deed Record 62, page 238, the said real estate
hereby conveyed being a tract eighty-three and 81/100 (83.81)
feet frontage on National Road, West, two hundred fifty-two
and 745/1000(252.745) feet deep on west side thereof and two

hundred forty-three and 31100 (243.03) feet deep on the east
side of said lot, and al,o including a twenty (20) foot strip
adjoining and iiiimediatel to the north of said tract.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is -.lie intent and purpose hereof to change
the _zoning classification of the above described area from R-2 to
R-4.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, study of this Ordinance .•Ja conducted by the
Richmond City Plan r>!;)' fission on the,% day of

SEC TI 4. WHEF-AS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission
was to a .._in (favor af/ ) recommending the adop-
tion of Ordin,,ce No. 2677-1972.

SECTION! 5 It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of
the abovrdescribed property be, and the sane is hereby changed to
3lulti-F'7+1y Residence District and that said Property he regulated
in ac,rdance with the Zonin, Ordinance of tt:e City of Richmond,
Indi;,, , and all amendments thereto.
SEV JN 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
af,r its passage and publication as by law required.
.CTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned
.real is hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area
will be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
