RESOLUTION NO. 82 -2066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
ELM AVENUE RUNNING BETWEEN ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD
AND SULTANA AVENUE, IN TEMPLE CITY, AND FIXING
A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE
PROPOSED VACATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE,
ORDER, AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Whereas Elm Avenue, running between Rosemead
Boulevard and Sultana Avenue, in the City of Temple City, as more
explicitly shown on map attached hereto, is no longer needed for
public purposes.
SECTION 2. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 8300, et. seq.,
of the Streets & Highways Code of the State of California, the
City Council finds that the public interest and convenience may
require and the City of Temple City does hereby declare its inten-
tion to consider the vacation of all of said portion of Elm Avenue.
SECTION 3. A map or plan indicating by boundary lines the
extent of the property included in the proposed vacation is on
file in the office of the City Clerk and reference is hereby made
to said map or plan for a further full and complete description of
all property comprising the aforesaid public street proposed to be
vacated as declared herein.
SECTION 4. Any and all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacation may appear before this Council on the 18th day
of May, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the
City Hall, in the City of Temple City, and show cause why said unused
public street should not be vacated and abandoned as aforesaid.
SECTION 5. The City Council declares that in the event such
vacation is completed, it will reserve all public utility, water,
flood control and sewer easements located therein as provided in
Section 8340 of the Streets & Highways Code and will reserve any
underground easement the City may need.
SECTION 6. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be
posted notices of the passage of this Resolution at the places and
in the manner required by law. These proceedings are taken under
and by virtue of the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways,
and Service Easements Vacation Law being Sections 8300 to 8363,
inclusive, of the Streets & Highways Code of the State of California..
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution, being
Resolution No. 82 -2066, was duly passed, approved, and attested
by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of the said City Council
held on the 20th day of April, 1982, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers- Atkins, Dennis, Gillanders, Swain, Tyrell
