Meeting Place: Town Hall
Attendees: Jack Clarke,Susan Riseman, Richard Koch Chief of Brewster Police Dept, Rick Scanavin
Jack brought meeting to order at 4pm.
Meeting Discussion Summary:
1. Bikeracks application—got ok from CCC. $2K offered—total 18 racks to be purchased. It was
mentioned that Pat might be able to assist with assembly
Discussion of road work on 6A, unfinished sidewalks, crosswalks not complete.
2. Rich Scanavin reported on Crosswalk Lights and his investigation and related to costs and needs.
$9950 plus installation
Proposed by Richard Koch to apply to DCR for a grant.
Rick to prepare a writeup on his findings on what Harwich has spent, financing, etc.
Discussion of Seymour Pond (pushbutton plus motion sensor)
Jack recommended to get CPCA on this. Clean brush near Millstone for solar electricity if we go
that route.
Railtrail Crossings in Brewster to improve for safety purposes
Example: Millstone, Underpass Road and 137. Make request for 4.
For Money need a plan. DCR may be able to grant some of it.
Community Preservation Commission (CPC)-go to committee to make recommendation
Rick will get a proposal and pricing and talk to Patrick Ellis about the above.
Recommended to 1st start talking to Jim Foley who is the liaison to Town Selectmen.
HDC may need to approve all of these things as well.
2 poles cost—2 sets$10K in Harwich.
Meeting adjourned as there was quorum to make motions or vote on any recommendations.
Rick to followup on items above for next meeting.
